Brittany was the most empowered woman in Australia for many months. Politicians, the media, the DPP all fawned over her. She appeared in public many times, smiling, hugging and speaking.

It was when rubber hit the road that the reality of her false accusation hit home? Right or wrong?

When the trial stalled, did someone direct her to claim a mental health issue so as to protect her and the compensation process from scrutiny? Her mental health shield also protected the politicians that were complicit.

Even today, she is unapproachable and unquestioned because of the mental health shield. But it won’t protect the politicians, media and the DPP anymore. And hopefully not her.
