I have e mailed FIRB about the policy on having a Australian
company name before FIRB applications can be made.

Had a quick look on the FIRB site.


Under application forms (link below)

Most forms have - Address of registered
Office in Australia.
Not totally sure if these are the right forms, but it does look like you need an Australian business name.
