Sushi, while I agree with your comments on the dumbing down of the population, I think you have it bass ackwards..
The problem in the US is that the big corporations have seized power from the individual. America through its extensive lobbying system is run by the corporations for the corporations. Rudd is merely attempting to restore some balance....
