Interesting news from GT1 (IMO: good news for all Canadian Li explorers):

LG Energy Solutions announced on the 19th that it has signed a lithium concentrate supply and equity investment contract (approximately 7.89%) with Australia's Green Technology Metals, which operates lithium mines in North America. Lithium concentrate is a key mineral that can extract lithium hydroxide, a key raw material for batteries.

Through this contract, LG Energy Solutions will receive 25% of the total production of lithium concentrate produced by Green Technology Metals every year for five years. In addition, they decided to build a strategic cooperative relationship in the mid- to long-term with the equity investment as an opportunity.
Green Technology Metals owns and operates a total of four lithium mines in North America. LG Energy Solutions is provided with the quantity mined from the Seymour mine of Green Technology Metals, where about 10 million tons (t) of resources are buried.

Myung-hwan Kim, President of LG Energy Solutions Production and Procurement (CPO) said, "This cooperation is very meaningful in that we have been able to preemptively secure competitive core minerals in North America, a key strategic market." In accordance with the implementation, we will provide the best value to our customers with differentiated raw material supply stability and cost competitiveness.”
Green Technology Metals Chairman John Young said, "We welcome the signing of the contract with LG Energy Solutions, and as a new strategic partner, we will do our best to develop the global battery industry through future collaboration."
