as i am someone who leans to the right of politics and was a big supporter of kennett i can put my hand on my heart and say he lost because he gagged his ministers from speaking during the election campaign.
His arrogance was his strength & his undoing.

It will be Rudd's as well. He reminds me of Mark Latham in this regards.
