nice post rebel,
I am not totally unhappy with the way things are though.
We have insane times at present but even now and especially when we get back into something approaching normal - I think we can make these non-markets, for want of a better term, work in our favour.
My point - I agree that big money can force things up or down with little regard for what a company is like -- well, doesn't that make for great opportunities if one is an investor?
Whatever market movers do - they can't have an effect on earnings.
So if one has done some decent homework on a reasonable handfull of quality stocks - one can buy with great confidence when the price is driven down artificially.
I think that is a great opportunity to buy quality at a cheap price.
Of course you would have to have it as a clear stategy and maybe that is a different strategy to what someone had in the past - but it would work really well - so well in fact that the financial players that move markets would be doing you a favour.
The thing is that although many poo hoo funnymentals - they do win in the end - you can play around all you like with an sp, but at the end of the half - that cheque comes in the mail, no matter who has been playing funnies with the register.
just my thought have a good arvo
