I did not say "you said he lied".

however, you did say he told you "it was a done deal" etc, only a matter of days before the public announcement that it had fallen through. There is no doubt in my mind IF what you post is true (which I have no reason to doubt)then he deliberately lied to you or he did not know what was going on. Which option do you want and where does that leave him?

As to your second question, that is exactly what the market is telling you. I agree with the market.
Honesty and perceived honesty goes a long way in the market.

Good luck with assay results in the "coming days" (unlike bad news announcements which took about two months to be reported)
