The Albanese government has done a “terrible job” in their first year of power, says Queensland Liberal Senator Gerard Rennick.
“I think the Albanese government has done a terrible job in their first year as government and not the least because their hypocrisy,” he told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.
“We’ve got a cost of living crisis, a rental crisis, and a housing crisis, yet the Albanese government has ramped up immigration to over 400,000 people, with another 320,000 people coming next year.
“Now while he’s doing that he’s also introduced the Safeguard Mechanism which is designed to get big companies to cut their emissions, that will result in jobs having to go offshore, he’s also cut infrastructure spending.”
