that depends on how they're managed. aggression among dementia patients comes from confusion, disorientation.... the staff strength is to distract calmly, quietly, and then to guide them to a quiet place, if they can't be returned to bed, where they can feel safer and calm down.
much of the aggression in dementia occurs in the home rather than in aged care.
