I think you need to go to unversity, take a year of basic Economics classes, then a year of micro, another year in macro and while you are doing that pick up a few classes in stats, a year of calculus, and if somehow you manage to actually get through those then take a couple of years of finance.
After that consider Tax Accounting, Corporations Law, Management and Cost Accounting, and finally an Auditing class or two.
Once you do that I think that you'll be able to discuss this topic in an informed, intelligent manner.
