The mention of 'royal family' for the new gold refiner would likely mean 'extended family'. There is a large number of 'extended royals'. In prior years, they wanted to hold a lot of the same benefits like setting up road blocks in Bangkok to support their ease of movement, but that has been reined in due to public dissatisfaction. Now it only applies to 'higher ranked royals'.
They still hold a lot of privilege, but 'extended royals' are not the same as 'Rama X'. So not much to discuss in regards to KCN.
