I think you are right ddcc, the timing is one hell of a coincidence, straight on the back of the news that Pattersons have pulled the plug.

I will say if the 6000 is a true number then Terry has done a great job of burying the previous bad news with this....nobody seems bothered about the SPP extention any longer.

There is a poster on yahoo finance who claims that he has spoken today to Terry Barr to clarify the 6000 number and was told it was a very conservative estimate and it could have been presented better. This makes no sense to me given the motivations of the company right now to increase the SP and fast before June 30, why make an overly conservative estimate???

Im still in for the long term but this ann is perplexing.
