The point I was making is that the children of lesbians will grow up understanding that there are differences between their living arrangements and those of most other parents. This exposure to difference and the parents explanation of that difference, is more likely to make the children more tolerant of differences. That was just my opinion, but have used the wonders of Google and it appears the research supports that idea - see quote and link below.

"Children of lesbian, or gay parents were found to be more tolerant and more comfortable in a multicultural environment than children from heterosexual families (Clay, 1990). Perhaps their different experiences contributed to their greater acceptance of differences" http://www.education.com/reference/article/research-children-gay-lesbian-families/

You would appear to only want parents who meet your idyll to have children. Who else would you exclude - mothers in their 30's and 40's due to down's syndrome risk, deaf mothers due to genetic risk and not being able to "llisten" to their children, ethnic minorities whose children may get bullied at school. I agree that lots of parents should not have children - junkies and those who don't give a damn come to mind, but I do not put lesbians in that category. The only lesbians I know that have children are great parents - admittedly I only know one couple, so it is a small sample to go on.........
