My 2c worth on the assumptions

1. Supervising rigs and logging core is a crappy job often done by inexperienced geos. Intersecting sub-economic copper in the vicinity of historical workings and the presence of minor disseminated sulphides in carbonaceous shales is normal - not significant. IMO the circumstances point to the assumption that the site geo is a fool. I expect MD Doepel is not a fool.

2. The Thadunna workings are predominately copper carbonates which are most commonly deposited by factors of weathering and groundwater. IMO no assumptions can be made as to whether or not there was a large sulphide source of that copper that still exists.
