I usually go mid week because I prefer when it is quiteter so not a big difference.

The problem is that at Sydney you have to pay for alcohol. Most members will use their casino dollars so this means they will have to remove their membership card and hand it over for service. If you're playing a machine you could be sitting at the machine unable to play for up to 20 minutes waiting for your drink whereas at Gold Coast the drinks are complimentary, you can play on.

Having the Star Play time limit on top of the drinks issue will make members prefer Gold Coast.

I would imagine the Star Play time limit would deter overseas guests given the flight time from China.
