IMO its best that you understand Aus history before commenting
on what you think or ought to be the status of Taiwan.

If you want Taiwan to be recognised as a country, then ask your
MP & Senator to advocate this in Aus parliament thereby sending
a petition to the UN to re-establish the ROC (Taiwan) as a country.

The USA is trying to "white ant" the UN decision of 1971 which
declared Taiwan as part of China without having the balls to
propose the acceptance of Taiwan as a country in a motion to the UN.

IMO, the Ukrainian war is merely a warm-up for the US in its defence of Taiwan should the PRC army invade.
