They may be be dealing with financial/political issues, but I highly doubt anyone in congress over there is short sighted enough to pull funding from setting up a (much overlooked and forgotten about) supply chain, especially when it has a 'green' narrative attached to it.

The U.S has been asleep at the wheel regarding this up until recently, and given the situation at present with a growing number of nations no longer using the U.S dollar for trade, the United States needs to once again become a production power house.
