Yea i agree what you said. But i think management must have consider lots of things and decided this is the best option for now. ( not saying they did a good job)
The US business is hard and cash burn, licence fee issue is serious. Let say they might not able to turn it profitable in 2 years, imagine how many cr they have to do in order just to keep the US business running.
I do prefer now play safe just to force on Australian and Canadian market like he said in the interview. Maybe 18 months later they might decide to enter US market again who knows if the market has change and favor in growth stock again and keeping all the tech is one of the upside means they can return to the US easily. All imo
