sovereign risk used to be highly significant decades ago, but not so much these days, especially in certain African countries, yes a few are high risk but that number is also decreasing.. the world is moving on but many investors still have heads in the sand.. the thing with LIN is simple, the stock is doing now what it was doing for months around the 23c average, just this time its a lot tighter, 700m shares traded at 23c average week after week for months with news like this regularly sold down, the MET result were the catylst for the push into 40s before it eventually dropped back into status-quo.... MRE will likely be the next rerate, then possibly another rerate again on Bauxite movement then another rerate again on JORC.. IMO three rerates to come before now and JORC as LIN moves into the $Bs
