got to give Vince credit where it's due, first thing I'd be doing if my project economics didn't stand up is start lookout for subsidies or handouts and he played the election cycle to a T... made sure he ticked the fluffy green hydrogen box along with vanadium electrolyte and sold the gov a beauty and got a great return for his shareholders. even if the rest of the criteria is never met 9m is not to be sneezed at. have to give him the win over Ian on that front and that's about it.
Ian was prob too focused on trying to get the project to funding based on merit without handouts and a little to honest prob didn't think tmt met the criteria cause was more focused on building a mine then looking at downstream processing grants. I mean let's be real? shouldn't you worry about getting the dirt out of the ground before asking for grants for a downstream electrolyte plant. shouldn't the gov see it that way aswell.
....in heinsight with all this fluff the EPA are making us consider and the delays I'm sure we could of pulled the wool over there eyes also and came up with a buisness case. imo the right thing for the gov to do would of been what the QLD gov did and not back a project but help build an electrolyte facility for all
TMT now has a very large target on its back, page-491
