This is why there need to be more than 1 purchaser.
But the underlying problem here to my thinking (and I am more than happy to be told I am wrong) is there is ultimately at least in the main part only 1 purchaser of the gas, being the government of China.
Is there not risk that instead of China paying market price for the gas that they will only pay a fraction, and hence the project value to us as foreign investors may not be worth much. Could they not do this just to push us out and force us to sell our stake at a reduced value ?
Is there any competitors who can buy the gas, not just China ?
