    I’m not sure where you got your “standard ev” vs “Tesla” figures from Johnny?!

    iirc, rule of thumb is, on average, 1M BEVs requires about 50kt of LCE.
    or circa 50kg per BEV
    2,000t = circa 40,000 BEVs
    12,000t = circa 240,000 BEVs

    afaik, a large Tesla (100kWh), uses almost twice that, so 2,000t = circa 20,000 x 100kWh teslas.
    Or 12,000t = circa 120,000 x 100kWh teslas.

    yes, a significant amount in any case!
