In the intervening months since the PL3 failure I cannot see anything that 4DS has done to improve the probability of success for PL4.

Yes, the array cells still work under the etch, which means at least the etch isn't burning out the array when it is laid down.

But there has been radio silence on the inputs that Stanford is supposed to be making with regards to etch development. Talent has left the building. Comms are non-existent.

I think at best a partially functioning PL4 is on the cards - but that's based on nothing more than gut feel. Because there is no way to quantify the probability of success here.
