There is no way the government doesn't get involved with the carbonate plant especially after putting up half the money for POSCO/GM's CAM plant.
GM's proprietary Ultium batteries uses lithium carbonate. So where will that come from??
Thacker pass isn't scheduled to begin until H2 of 2026, and that's assuming that they finish on schedule.
