"All this bullying of a person trying to do her job, has forced me to send a letter to St John Ambulance, with a copy to the State IR Commision, advising it that it should immediately introduce a 'No Bullying' policy."

I think you have completely missed the point diligent. You see, this St John's volunteer was NOT prepared to do her job at all.

What a mean spirited person she is. She has allowed her opinion on boat people to affect her "work", albeit as a volunteer in an area of health.

I just wish people here were able to see above their own views on boat people, as I have, and look at this issue without prejudice or otherwise colored by their opinion on so called boat people.

This issue was and is about an ambulance volunteer stating that she may not be able to help another human being should they be in need, a very serious situation indeed and quite untenable from a St John's point of view.

The longer I live in rural WA the more I have come to the conclusion that there is not a great deal of difference between the US state of Alabama in the early 1960's and present day WA.

The level of racism in rural WA is so all pervasive; you could cut it with a knife. It seems to be the domain of red necks, yobbos, bogans and people with spite and not a lot between their ears.
