Frantic - you are in denial of what this woman's reported comments to her superiors were.
And I quote; "But St John's Goldfields manager Alan Churchill told ABC Radio the comments Ms Ruprecht made to the Seven Network were not the issue.
He said he had asked her if as a St John volunteer she would respond to a call-out at the detainee centre and she had said "she probably couldn't".
"As an ambulance service, we cannot pick and choose who we go to," Mr Churchill said.
"We're there for the service of humanity, that's our logo and that's where the impasse is."
So she said she probably couldn't respond. In other words, she would be prepared to leave a person suffering some kind of medical emergency rather than being actively engaged in the transportation of that person. That sounds like being prepared to allow a person to suffer rather than transport them to a hospital for care simply because she is opposed to boat people.
It seems very clear to me. Or are you suggesting that she has been misquoted or her comments were otherwise taken out of context?
