    A trader who used stock forum HotCopper to pump and dump about 20 penny stocks using 13 trading accounts has been given a jail term of 2½ years, but is being released immediately on a five-year good behaviour bond.

    it could well be tax loss selling by anyone on here that says they hold a lot

    pumping the stock to try to create volume.
    calling gaps, then sell down when the gaps close

    seen it all too often.
