I wish they had a button where you could upvote to a higher level as this post is 200 % correct. So much misinformation spread over the last decade on all this renewable power and this pretense its cheaper than coal ( while every government analyst ignores all the subsidies renewables get and penalties imposed on coal) and conveniently ignores the reliability issue as well.
I have friends visiting from India and they tell me they are building coal fired power stations like crazy over there with some nuclear and solar but noway are they even considering trying to run their system on renewables. All the chickens will come home to roost over the rest of this decade.
The problem we have is that there are actually a lot of people in government who actually believe 100 % in the delusion because they live in their own self created virtue signalling bubble and they don't read widely but rather take as gospel propaganda coming out from all the vested interests in the renewables lobby.
