The presence of Helium elevates this from being just another oil and gas project. In South Africa Helium is a strategic resource, so everything gets fast tracked including any approvals they need.
I've been following Renergen for a while. The United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) has borrowed Renergen $500mil for their Virginia project in South Africa, and Standard Bank borrowed $250mil. The DFC wants to approve any contractors used, which is reasonable for such a big sum of money. Helium opens up alternative avenues for funding that would not normally be there.
