I have my Hotcopper name as Yourjoking because I usually have a sarcastic joking personality, but now I won’t joke or try to be humorous and not appear as a smart ass.

By way of background I’m an ex Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia lawyer who is now retired .

In my later years I spent much of my time doing high level recovery / collection work in SE Asia , Middle East and Africa.

AVZ may or not be successful in their ICC litigation we are not privy to their legal advice but I assume they are quite confident , they have competent lawyers and are well advised .

Many investors on HC particularly the downrampers of which are salivating believe because it’s the DRC, you can’t get any money back and AVZ won’t have the funds to pursue this .That’s not entirely true .

In my experience, there are large publicly listed litigation funding companies who do pursue these type of recovery actions . Without going into the dynamics they fund the litigation on a success fee and keep a % of the successful recovery . These companies are on the ASX and also on the FTSE and a number of them are dividend paying companies . I’m not here to pump them at all .You can easily google this .

But how do you retrieve your money you are asking in the event of a successful ICC judgement .

I won’t go into quantification of the claim but if successful you can seize ships ,airlines of the country as it lands in airports outside their jurisdiction . International assets of DRC can be seized . It is not easy and asset tracing is extremely expensive but it is done with success.

I’m not advocating that even if successful legally we will recover our potential losses (if any) but there are certainly international precedents and outside parties that can assist .

I will now return to being a sarcastic hopefully prosperous stock holder . One last comment, put downrampers on ignore, especially anyone who has a ❤️ next to them ,

Its not over till the fat lady sings , I have a slight hearing problem and I just can’t hear her yet .
