You've voiced the general view of posters (I think).

There has been a lot of talk. If you mean all official I agree.

A middle position is to say, let's wait till Diggers and Dealers in August and view their presso.
To be fair, even that will probably be biased as they will be pushed toward claiming production. Since they can't easily say, we have a deal being stitched together.

Further, I think any deal they're attempting is half-cooked at present. I'm trying to visualize how the major players are brought to the table.
For instance, I don't think the Newmont takeover of Newcest is fully bedded down and the new CEO is hardly able to deal before he gets his feet under the table.

What would suit us, I think, is a deal whipped to a crescendo with various players "bidding". Not the 'fait accompli' BHP & Newcest tried to engineer with the PFS on say 26% of the resources (the latter got one of their own). I suspect in the end angry and frustrated as we all were NM may have done the right thing by ceding to Cornerstone. I note quite a few SOLG shares were contributed from his charitable trust to various charities at 0.01-pound ea. recently. Not quite the money-grubbing image NM is accorded.

Was it mentioned on our threads?

    All IMVHO.
