This concept is OK as long as they can manage Aust Post and effectively leverage their store network, as this is the real opportunity. Both will provide a challege but can deliver reduced costs for both their customers and the business, and improve speed.
The issue with these guys is they cant execute. When you work through their org chart they have lightweight managers with either long term history within the group, (the rag gang) and this is not a great recommendation, and the newbies have lots of short term roles across a range of businesses that dont look to be a great business fit.
Maybe a high quality appointment on big bucks may help to provide a new message. Scott Evans needs support or an exit.
Look at NZ returns and profit. Problem forever and you never hear a thing about fixing it. Lets hope Quentin drives accountability through the Spotlight postion. The current management team seem to struggle with this.
No covid to blame going forward and cash is tight.
