No idea,we have heard these types of announcements over many many years.
It probably is good others may have more informed opinions.
Even Penn when ceo said AI was used within its approx 1500 distrbuted data centres which again sounds great and just like above is probably critical to tls.
But tls must start understanding the importance of returning profits 'just' to its pre nbn levels of approx .30 eps fy.
Hmm just read 'M''s post re Investors mutual pro tls comments.
First before nbn head winds started to appear I agreed with IM that the fixed $3 billion they now refer to would be compensated by the $1 billion nbn lease and the cost saving of $2 as tls employees transferred from tls to nbn equals $3 billion.so tls's $6 billion including mobile should continue.
Now IM /investors mutual simply say that the $3 billion fixed profit has disappeared in nbn headwinds?Where is the class action for tls not telling holders the $3b fixed profit would disappear because of nbn headwinds?
So now IM forget about their previous analysis about the lost $3b and talk about mobile growth only because nbn headwinds that they didn't see coming has destroyed fixed profit..etc etc.
So now they say growth is in mobile only ? Even the $1 billion nbn lease doesn't show up in ebitda/ebit/eps.So fixed tls income of $3b gone,my guess costs and inefficiencies.
So now tls wants to sell 50% of its fixed network/infraco that makes no profit and is not expected to by IM .hmm its definitely worth billions but it don't make any money and IM doesn't expect it to hmm.etc 50% infraco will be sold but it must be sold with a reasonable profit so lucky tls has plenty of accountants .etc etc etc
gltahs.
