Spot on if I were an American investor, I would find a way to buy on the Aus market at $16 at around 10.30am today. They would make nearly a dollar a share without doing anything (arbitrage). I would not be surprised to see American Livent shareholders feel that the Merger of Equals is not being supported by the Aussies and they are being ripped off. C'mon Aussies keep up the pace you lot at the back.
