From what I can gather, the US application is roughly a year after the Aus application (going by announcements to market) so maybe they changed the wording during this time? so possibly seems maybe the wording has changed and everyone may get what they want at the end of the day with a better understanding of what is patented and what isn’t.

I will attempt to attach photos of both below, see how I go..

Hi Jimmy, not sure you can place too much weight on the different wording of announcements. The
accepted Australian patent is also listed in IPAustralia database as "method of producing purified graphite".
