Of perhaps further interest is that Saxo also pulled out of a deal to purchase a 35% stake in another failed broker Tricom in 2008. Interestingly as part of it's pitch to buy Tricom it said:-
"Tricom is already a partner of Saxo Bank, having over 2,000 Tricom clients benefiting from Saxo's award winning proprietary investment trading system, SaxoTrader"
