As I posted before I'm sure there are alternative cheaper options than the 'default AGL price' after a discount price.
In fact I'd bet that if you phoned up AGL & said you were leaving they'd offer you another discounted price.
Probably not as good but better than their default price.

Some people just like to whinge & exaggerate (& lie) to make a political point.
