Whats got me puzzled is how he can do it at all at that level. There are strict rules about how much you can put into your smsf in a year. Under the brought forward rules, that’s 3 x 110,000 and even if it had 6 members and all of them were exercising the right, that’s a maximum of $1,980,000.

91,708,122 x.056 is millions over that. There must be something I don’t understand about the way it is set up! I guess you can do it, but you pay 47% tax on the excess contributions. Maybe it’s still worth it as then only 15% is paid on the eventual gain. Too hard!

If the Fund has cash they can simply be sold to it rather than contributed
