The ONLY thing that will get interest back in this stock is a drill and test of Leadville. 95% of the production out of this basin is out of this structure. About 60km away is the Lisbon field which produces large scale from it, albeit at a more manageable depth of around 7000ft. Look at the flow rates for Cherokee and another field in the basin (which name escapes me) for Ismay formations, and they are not spectacular. As for the Gothic Shale.....does GDN have the expertise and backing to develop an unconventional gas field......no.
The Leadville limestone is where the blue sky is. From memory a 1-3TCF play. These smaller, marginal upper zones have been mapped since the sixties and nobody is interested....there is no positive nearology.
I'm watching for a Leadville last gasp attempt.
