IMO it is an unworkable fantasy in its current form.
I 100% agree with the fact that the government has been pouring billions of funds into our indigenous population, its also made F all impact. we still have high crime, alcoholism and DV rates - and that probably comes from no consultation
I will support a voice if there's deliberate measurable actions that will result in measurable results to help improve quality of life. As it stands and as you mentioned it will just provide "representations" and "advice" which is nothing more than fancy words - there's no actions - theres no accountability, its just another layer of red tape.
Your entire reply feels like you agree, with words of "ideally" "more likely" and "should" - I'm just not willing to vote yes to a change of our constitution until its rock solid. And to be honest our first Australians deserve a hell of a lot better than this half arsed pitch
