Wisdomofsilence ....... Maybe you should have been true to your name and been wise to be silent!

You slag Forrest without knowing him for as others have pointed out he is someone who has plenty of good qualities.

But Forrest is not the main game here. You talk about Australia has missed the opportunity to get closer to fair value from its vast commodities from these greedy mining companies.

Fair Value, fair share, fair go , fair return - whatever you want to preface with fair comes down to one fact, you have done nothing other then sit on your backside except demand some financial return from someone else's enterprise, someone else's capital and someone else's labour and someone else's land.

The last point is especially significant. "Someone else's Land". Unlike the typical greedy labour politicians who keep up with this cry of a fair return on Australian's resources - what you need to realise is that the land or more precisely the minerals in them are owned by the individual states of Australia.

Fact is that states own the mineral rights and fact is that your so called greedy mining companies (who are largely owned by everyday average Australian's) have legitimately bought the rights to exploit those minerals from the lawful owners ..... the individual states of Australia.

This of course is followed by those miner's paying 30% company tax on any profits they make.

I say to you that rather then bleating about your children and all that clap trap that YOU like every other Australian are free to own the rights to exploit these mineral resources.

Go and do some research and put your money down and get a return on that investment for your kids. Doing so would be a lot better then doing nothing and demanding more money as you are doing now when you are offering sweetfa in return.

What makes Australia a poorer place is free-loaders like you who want something for nothing.
