    Disagree with your last sentence.
    Agree with your last Para.

The flak I expect? is because Albo is the lead promoter.

The "weird hatred" of which you speak against the ALP is I suggest is from a partisan position.
Equally vehemently noticed by others as laid at Dutton and Libs in general in these threads.
Dutton is referred to by some in quite extraordinary language.

The economic divide is more complex than having "A voice"
and indeed is not unique to aboriginal peoples.

The per capita spend on Aboriginal affairs is much greater than non-aboriginals and "the gap"
(whatever that really means) has not been solved.
It should be accepted that the places where many aboriginals live and their culture are huge factors affecting outcomes but it is never a part of the debate.
Other Australians live in "regions, have less income, job opportunities , educational outcomes, health services etc.

Equality v Equity needs understanding by many proposing societal ideas.

Equality is a Socialist Principle, unattainable in fact and highly destructive a concept if one wants to live accustomed to the way Australians currently live.
Equity is a fundamental part of Australia now.
Attempts at enforcing equality in society has many failed examples.

Much wordsmithing is also at fault,
IMO similar to the debate about "Women receive less pay"

Until more transparency is provided to people about national debates and constituents treated with less contempt by Govt our present problems will remain.
