I don't believe he does or did know as you say. Remember this was the same guy who back in one of those early podcasts was flabbergasted and in awe of the whole rise himself as to how the SP had performed post NAL . Perhaps this is why they didn't take up the previous variable component...BECAUSE they didn't think the Market Cap would stay up and weren't as flush with shareholder funding as they are now.
So how could he or the BOD stand back now and take credit for a lot of that when they themselves thought it was ' out of the box ' amazing and were stunned by the level and value it had gotten to.
Remember also KP's comments of it being ' Fully Valued '.
So NO , I am a firm believer that the ' Market ' had ascribed the value to the end result....including a lot of those ' Hidden ' components that perhaps BL hasn't or hadn't been brought up to speed with. And that's Irrespective of the data room disclosure.
Why do you think they grabbed the former NAL head geologist back in August of 2020 ....9 months before the successful BID and almost 15 months before the Market even became aware of it.
How bout his comments in regards the Carbonate plant and where its at from his recent meet with GT. He stated something to the effect of " As I understand it was at pilot stage producing only commercial sample quantities " .........or " I told them to sell that stuff ".
I mean how much does he actually have his head around things when perhaps there is so much going on.
Even with Moblan , I reckon as I always have that it was a ' Wink and a Nod ' from I.Q and Quebec to say ....Hey we want you to go for it , and we want to look after you because in some way it's recompenses for the Authier and Tansim stitch up.
And how could they have possibly known anything really about Moblan or done any ' proper ' Due Diligence on Moblan in just the ONE Month from close of the NAL transaction.
So it wasn't until more than 6 months following the close of NAL that they had this ' Magical ' upgrade in MRE resources......only to then be pegged back almost a year later.
So how much do they really know about ' valuation ' as reflected by the SP and its rises or falls. I would say NOT a lot and no more than some of the expert traders in this stock who analyse everything top to bottom.
So yeah , the Market is and should continue to be the Judge and Jury , and since they or him couldn't even believe it himself when it rocketed , that gain in itself should be enough across his previous acquired low priced shares and FREE options should be enough compensation given in the same way as it has been for us ......BY THE MARKET and NOT any further FREE shares.
And I mean not only does it make him look greedy , based on these previous comments he has made , it makes him look sloppy , lucky , and to a certain degree just stupid.
I therefore in all seriousness would like to see them ....at the minimum withdraw entirely resolutions 1 & 2. So that would be the best move in my opinion .....to effectively defer these retrospective compensation moves to a later date and future time where we can revisit in earnest the progress - re: production and revenues PLUS fast tracking of downstream processing. Whether that's Carbonate or Hydroxide or BOTH , and none of this " that's not what my understanding was '' rhetoric .
Because the Market in my opinion was fully aware of what had been put out there in the press regarding NAL carbonate potential . And under each one of those previous owners too. So unless Quebec had let the press on or allowed them to somewhat embellish the actual truth to the extent it needed at that time . One can or may never really know. But my guess is that someone had tipped off BOA about the real status.
So why should we compensate these guys for this.
