Eip-4844 will be a potential catalyst for ethereum and some eth layer 2's. It will reduce fees by 10-20x in the near future and even more when full danksharding comes next year or the year after. Eip-4844 is due to go live in Q3 or Q4 this year, keep an eye on it.
