Yes the FEDS have rights to collect certain revenues which they can split any way that they please.

The states have rights to other revenues such as minerals and those stay with the states.

Now do I own part of your house as I am an Australian? shouldnt I own a fair share of your house?

By the way, the land that I hold is under freehold title and the Crown no longer owns it.

My state still owns the mineral rights of anything that may be under the ground though.
