Dividend a small drop compared to last year.
But more importantly:
a) dividend reflects only FY23, what about next year?
b) With a dividend yield of 6% odd and a bank deposit of 5%, why take the risk????
That's what many will be thinking.
Especially given the fallicy that interest rates will quickly drop. It looks like higher interest rates for longer.
Sept Qtr inflation is going to be dreadful for Australia.
Look at the UK, this short term higher interest rates have proven a fallicy. Now interest rates up to 5% in the UK. UK central banks just whopped a +0.5 interest rate rise.
Be careful.
