    Goldbugs have been announcing the demise of the USD for years, but in fact the opposite's happened and its strengthened against most other currencies as people search for shelter.
    I'm not sure how many of you guys were around in 1980 and watched the gold crash.
    I was.
    Gold reached unheard of levels because gullible punters thought the USD would crash and there would be hyperinflation.
    Heard that before?
