the Dutton model is pretty similar to Morrison and mad Abbott models.... no concern for actually doing anything other than reverting to zero regulation, zero care for the community, zero intent to do anything at all about AGW or Aboriginal matters..... I get the impression they tink that "small Gov" means zero Gov.

and look at the consequences we've suffered as a nation from their neglect.

I voted Lib several times over the years. once to chop Whitlam in '75, I even voted against Hawke's first win as I thought he was an insubstantial show pony.... I was wrong. I even voted for Howard when he won first time but he failed at first and I learned what the new Liberal Party had become when he talked of the broad church and how he turned his back on Menzies values and first Aussies.

I've only voted Labs a few times too as I recognised the value of Don Chipp's Aus Dems and stayed with them as a member till Natasha Stott-Despoja saw the decline and abandonment of the ADs. I tried the Greens for a couple of years, but they weren't real Greens as in the German model. no real democracy. Ever since I abandoned the Grns I've voted for independents. I think this is the only way to build a real democracy.

I was delighted to see the rise of the teals. some Indis do ok, eg Andrew Wilkie and Zali Steggall, and the current crop have proved themselves excellent MPs.
