If I could impose on your knowledge, you may help answer the following questions.
Are the "fracture highways" Jo mentioned a plausible cause?
If the waterflow behind pipe is the problem, and is at the last reported level of approx 1:10, could they just handle this water, or is it likely to increase?
Would the present rig be able to handle any remedial action required? (such as you suggested).
