I should disclose that I am a subcontractor to Downer, and would like to pass on this article to other subcontractors that I work with.
However, I can tell you that Downer do take a long time to pay their subcontractors, 3 to 4 months. Though, this is not unusual in the building and construction industry. Downer seem to take the longest time of all to pay up.
BTW... I am told that they are no longer called "Downer-EDI" , but simply "Downer". So I don't know what happened to the "EDI" part ?
